Free COVID Testing Available by Erath County Emergency Management

Erath County Office of Emergency Management under the direction of County Judge Alfonso Campos has ordered the availability of Free COVID Rapid testing at the Erath County Courthouse. 
 
To receive testing, you must first call the County Emergency Management Coordinator (EMC) Cyndi Smith at 254-965-1326 to schedule an appointment.  Testing will be available Monday – Friday, as staff and testing are available. 
 
Please DO NOT come into the Courthouse for testing.  You will park on the North side of the building, in the County Commissioner parking area, and call 254-965-1326 to let the EMC know you have arrived.  Testing done by appointment only.
 
Please have your driver’s license, a valid email address and cell phone number to receive your test report. 

Test kits are from Texas Department of Emergency Management.

Tests are the CareStart COVID-19 Antigen Test.

Results are within 10 minutes and you will receive a report within 2 hours. You will receive a text and an email with a link to retrieve your test results.

Test is a nose swab that takes about 15 to 30 seconds. It will not detect the variant. It will only show a positive or negative result.
