Erath County United Way launches COVID-19 Community Response Fund

Erath County United Way (ECUW) is committed to ensuring that Erath County’s most vulnerable families and individuals have the support they need to weather the COVID-19 crisis. Since 1971, ECUW has created sustainable solutions to the challenges facing our local community.

For this reason, ECUW has launched the Erath County COVID-19 Community Response Fund. To increase the impact of the fund, ECUW will match community donations up to a maximum of $25,000. This fund will allow the ECUW Community Impact Committee to rapidly deploy needed resources that offer crucial support such as utility assistance, food vulnerability, housing assistance, and other needs as identified. One hundred percent of the money raised willl go to individuals and families that have been directly impacted by unemployment, reduced work hours, or furlough due to COVID-19.

“We understand that COVID-19 has disrupted lives in our community. As an organization whose entire mission is to mobilize community resources to help people improve their lives, we feel it is our duty to work proactively to raise funds for those in this emergency situation,” says Staci King , ECUW President. “As the long-term impacts unfold, we will continue to work with our partners to assess and evolve our funding strategies.”

You can make a gift now to the ECUW COVID-19 Community Response Fund by clicking on Tab “How to Help” then “GIVE “on www.erathcountyuw.org. An account has also been set up at Citizens National Bank of Texas, 2207 West Washington Street, or checks can be mailed to Erath County United Way at 150 North Harbin Drive, Suite #309 .
