Be Part of the #Blessed100: Lets Overwhelm Together
Greetings and Merry Christmas!
blessed100, inc. is aTexas non-profit corporation inspired and created by the employees of The Allen Firm, PC, whose passion is to provide help and support to people in our community during the Holiday Season. What started out as the firm providing funds to several teams of employees to “go out and find someone to bless” turned into the creation of #blessed100.
We know that we are extremely blessed. We recognize our blessings, and we try to live out each day abundantly with a grateful and generous spirit. We believe in this way of life so much that we made it a part of our firm values. We also believe the Bible tells us to go out and point the community to Jesus. In our area and for us, this means giving some “non-legal” time and energy into serving, blessing, and helping people. Last year, with this in mind, we went out, asked around, and were directed to so many children who were not discovered by the typical Angel Tree or Christmas outreach programs.
With the help of counselors, teachers, and other sources, we easily found 50 kids with enormous needs. Last year, each child received shirts, pants, a jacket, a pair of shoes, a backpack, and a Bible. By partnering with us last year, we were able to meet our goal of 50 kids. But, there are so many others we want to help. So, this year, we have decided to increase our goal to 75 people. We are taking small steps to get to our ultimate goal of 100 people each year.
This is where you come in.
We would like to challenge our friends, clients, local businesses, and everyone in the Erath County area (or anywhere for that matter) who would be willing to give $100 towards this goal. It could be your business, your employees, or just your own personal sacrifice. We are certain enough funds can be raised to help these 75 people.
We would love to see 75 individuals and 25 businesses step up and help. You will be able to check the status of this campaign on this website as well as forward to your friends that you think might want to jump in on this challenge. We are serious about helping and believe in #blessed100. Because of this, the firm has contributed the first $1,000.00 toward the final goal.
Could you give more? Absolutely! Could you give less? Absolutely! Our goal is a big one, but one we believe can easily be met. Our goal is to raise $11,250, which is $150 worth of essentials for each of the 75 kids. We want this challenge to be significant, but reachable. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
