    Job Description
    Vandermeer Diesel Equipment Services is currently seeking a motivated and results driven Outside salesman to join our team. This position involves building strong relationships with new and existing customers. If you are self-motivated with a passion for machinery sales and a desire to succeed, we would love to hear from you.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Actively prospect for new customers within the assigned territory through cold calls, farm visits, networking, and referrals
    • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers by providing outstanding service, timely follow-up, and knowledgeable product recommendations.
    • Develop a deep understanding of full product line and stay up-to-date with the latest updates
    • Conduct on-site demonstrations of machinery and equipment, highlighting key features, and benefits
    • Prepare and deliver quotes, negotiate pricing, and close sales in alignment with dealership policies
    • Collaborate closely with sales manager, service department, and parts team to ensure seamless customer experiences from initial contact to after-sale support
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Previous experience in outside sales, preferably in the agricultural equipment or related industry
    • Strong knowledge of modern farming practices, and machinery
    • Self-motivated, results driven and able to work independently
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, willingness to travel extensively within the territory
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Mechanical skills and familiarity with agricultural sector
