Question & Answer
In this workshop, Dr. Ross will present treatment outcome data from Healing Springs Ranch (HSR), a residential treatment center for addictions in Tioga, Texas, and from his Trauma Program. Treatment at HSR is based on an Integrated Addictions Model that incorporates Dr. Ross’ Trauma Model Therapy (TMT). TMT is the basis of treatment in Dr. Ross’ Trauma Program at UBH Denton. Dr. Ross will explain the core principles of TMT and illustrate treatment techniques and strategies through case examples. Melissa Engle will then explain the Integrated Addictions Model used at HSR, which includes the Spectrum of Emotions, a scheme she developed for treating complex trauma and addictions. Like Dr. Ross, she will illustrate treatment techniques and strategies through case examples. Dr. Ross and Melissa Engle will also do role plays of therapy sessions to illustrate treatment techniques and strategies.
