Pay it forward for students during Tarleton’s Giving Day on April 17

Tarleton State University’s third Giving Day kicks off at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, challenging participants to pay it forward for students.

“Giving Day is a way for the entire university family—alumni, students, parents and friends—to show support for Tarleton,” said Development Director Jennifer Hawthorne. “Gifts of any size are tax deductible and can be designated for any Tarleton college, scholarship, program or organization.”

Last year’s Giving Day brought in more than $225,000, surpassing the 2016 total by $84,000.

To donate online, go to https://givingday.tarleton.edu between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. To give in person, stop by the Administration Building on the Stephenville campus from 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Donations also can be dropped off at Tarleton’s outreach locations in Fort Worth, Midlothian and Waco.

“Giving Day is an exciting 24 hours for Tarleton,” Hawthorne said. “It’s a great way to build community and student support through scholarships and programming.”
