Beginning in 2002, family members who lost loved ones in the 9/11 attacks lead the effort for an appropriate and fitting tribute to honor their loved ones and those who volunteered to serve our country in response to the tragedy. In 2009, the U.S. Congress designated September 11th as a National Day of Service and Rembrance.
In observance of this day, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 240 will be conducting this reflection ceremony to honor active duty military, military veterans, and emergency responders.
Partners in this event include Tarleton Corps of Cadets, Tarleton Student Social Work Association members, active duty military personnel and their family members, military veterans and their family members and other local community groups and individuals in the community.
