From 1937 to 1959, Dublin produced one of the largest, most famous rodeos of the time. But then it all but disappeared. What happened?
Come discover the “Secrets of the Dublin Rodeo Heritage” on August 14 from 1-5 p.m., hosted by the Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum. Activities include a chance to win $100, guided tours, a children’s rodeo, and refreshments.
Explore Dublin’s rich history of the World Championship Rodeo produced by famous cowboys Everett Colborn and Gene Autry from 1937 to 1959. A highly-attended rodeo, ranch hands, movie stars, trick riders, and world champions came from around the world to compete.
To be eligible to win the $100, attendees can fill out a short questionnaire about Dublin’s rodeo history while on the guided tour. A drawing will be made from those who answered all the questions correctly.
