McCoy's Mutton Bustin' Competition Details

Mutton Bustin' sign up is at 9 a.m. at the covered Pavilion. The Txpages, LLC Rodeo Parade begins at 10 a.m. Mutton Bustin' will begin after the parade (no earlier than 11 a.m.). A parade float will be provided for all mutton busters wanting to ride; be there early and signed up so staff can get kiddos loaded.

MUTTON BUSTIN' RULES
- Age: 3-8
- Weight limit: 55 lbs (for safety of the sheep and child)
- $15 entry fee
- NO riding with ropes allowed.
- Helmet and vest provided and required.
- Contestants MUST ride facing forward.
- May enter up to 2x. Only 1 qualification to finals during PRCA Rodeo.
- Top 15 riders will qualify to PRCA Rodeo (Sept. 22-24) at Lone Star Arena. 5 mutton busters per performance.
- Performance preference will be based on highest scores. Trades allowed but not guaranteed.
- Any ties for Qualifying (15th place) or rodeo performance preference, contestants will draw.
- Drawing for PRCA Rodeo performances will be done immediately following conclusion of event. Results posted on Cowboy Capital of the World Pro Rodeo Facebook page.
- Prizes awarded every night at PRCA Rodeo.
