Kids Can Cook Academy and Ranch Adventure includes all of these activities:
- Arrive at 8:45 A.M., wash hands, put on gloves, chef’s hat and apron to get ready to cook.
- We immediately start making breakfast which consists of two recipes. Kids learn how to measure and make everything from scratch and all by themselves.
- When they are done making breakfast, they get to eat what they just made. Most kids will eat things they would never eat at home, because kids usually will eat what they make.
- Next they take a basket out to our bountiful garden and pick ingredients used for making lunch.
- After they bring back their harvest, we take them on a ranch adventure where they meet at least a hundred friendly animals, and feed and pet them (feed sold at an extra cost). Next they visit our wallaby and deer compounds, where again they get to pet these animals up close and personal. We then move on to meet baby pigs and ponies, milk a goat, and collect eggs. Then they are introduced to our very special three-legged, spotted mini horse with a prosthetic leg.
- The grand finale is our backyard farmyard full of baby goats, lambs, baby llamas and rabbits and so much more. The kids get to pet all of these sweet little animals. While visiting with the baby animals, they will also plant a tiny herb garden that they can take home and even learn how to make a rope.
- After all the fun of the outdoor adventure, they head back in to the Kids Can Cook Academy kitchen to make lunch. They will be making two more recipes; again, from scratch and all by themselves.
This will be the best time they will ever have, and it’s also very educational. Kids need to understand where their food comes from, and learning to cook with real wholesome ingredients teaches them about agriculture.
