Cornerstone Animal Hospital took in 29 dogs during Hurricane Harvey. To date, two have been reunited with their owners, and about 20 have been fostered. Many of the foster homes have shown interest in adopting their foster animal but there are about 7-10 dogs still needing homes. These dogs will be featured at the Open House / Adoption Event.
There will be an adoption fee of $50. All of the animals are up to date on vaccinations, have been heartworm tested, intestinal parasite tested, and are currently on heartworm and flea & tick preventatives. Also, Dr. Lauren is going to spay and neuter all of the rescues for no extra charge.
In addition to the adoption event, there will also be face painting, a petting zoo, food, clinic tours and a mock Teddy Bear "surgery" that the kids can participate in.
