              Event Description:

              The Friends of the Dick Smith Library is hosting the annual Dinner in the Stacks. Come and enjoy an amazing meal provided by Sodexo, co-sponsor of the event.

              Following the meal, you will hear an amazing presentation on Sam Houston by Sam Houston. You read that correct, our guest speaker's name is Sam Houston! 

              Hood County News’s own Sam Houston will perform at the Friends of the Dick Smith Library
              Dinner in the Stacks on Saturday, March 18, in a one-man show about his namesake General
              Sam Houston. The legendary Sam Houston of Texas led the army at the Battle of San Jacinto
              and later served as President of the Republic of Texas, Governor, and U.S. Senator for Texas.
