In honor of Flag Day, the Turnbow-Higgs American Legion Post 240 will hold its annual flag burning ceremony to properly dispose of American flags. The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. tomorrow at the American Legion Post on 801 E. Washington. The public is invited to attend, and a reception with cookies and punch will follow the ceremony.
If you need to dispose of an American flag, you can bring it in a bag and leave it at the door of the American Legion Post or place it in the disposable flag collection box at the Walmart grocery entrance.
