Ethnos Conference Calls Believers to “Reach the Unreached”

One-Day Missions Conference Set for November 1 at Tarleton State University

Stephenville, Texas — On Saturday, November 1, 2025, believers from across Erath County and beyond will gather at Tarleton State University for the Ethnos Missions Conference, a one-day missions event dedicated to the theme “Reaching the Unreached.” Hosted by Lighthouse Community Church in partnership with The Bridge, the conference seeks to ignite a passion for global missions and local evangelism among students, families, and churches.

The word “Ethnos” comes from the Greek term for “nations,” echoing Jesus’ command to “make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). The conference will emphasize that the Great Commission is not just a call for a few but a mission entrusted to the whole Church.

“Millions of people around the world have never heard the name of Jesus,” said Pastor Fletcher Matandika, lead pastor of Lighthouse Community Church and patron of The Bridge ministry at Tarleton. “The Ethnos Conference is about mobilizing ordinary believers to take extraordinary steps of faith—to pray, to give, to go, and to send—so that the gospel may reach those who have never heard it.”

The day-long event will feature main sessions, breakout workshops, and times of worship and prayer, all focused on inspiring and equipping Christians to live on mission. Conference speakers will address topics such as missionary sending, cross-cultural evangelism, and the role of the local church in advancing the gospel worldwide.

In addition to teaching and worship, the conference will host an Exhibit Hall where local churches and mission organizations can showcase how they are engaging in Great Commission work both locally and globally. Attendees will have opportunities to connect with ministries, learn about short-term and long-term mission opportunities, and discover practical ways to serve.

The Ethnos Conference is free to attend, and lunch will be provided for all registered participants. The event will run from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Barry B. Thompson Student Center on the Tarleton State University campus.

“Our prayer,” Pastor Matandika said, “is that Ethnos will be a spark that sends out missionaries, church planters, and gospel workers into every nation. We want to see the name of Christ exalted among all peoples.”

Registration is now open at lighthousestephenville.com. Space is limited, and attendees are encouraged to register early.
