    Tarleton State University's American Marketing Association has invited three guest speakers to share with our fellow colleagues from all fields and backgrounds. They will discuss the unique and diverse ways of marketing strategies and the benefits for your initiative. Organization members will be at the main doors with name tags to assist you. Light refreshments will be provided.

    Students, faculty, local business owners and community members are invited to attend!

    ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

    Tommy Hsu (Chun-Kai), Assistant Professor of Marketing, Tarleton State University

    Topic: Student Engagement & Communication Platforms

    Dr. Tommy Hsu is an Assistant Professor of Marketing in the College of Business Administration at Tarleton State University. His research focuses on advertising, consumer psychology, branding strategy, and economic well-being. Currently his main research areas include comparative advertising, post-merger branding strategy, and loyalty programs. In addition to research, Dr. Tommy also values high-quality teaching. He has taught various marketing courses and strongly believes that teaching and research are two complementary components of scholarship.

    Courtnie Ridgway, Digital Media Strategist, Tarleton State University

    Topic: Utilizing Data Analytics for Website Optimization

    With more than seven years of delivering results and offering a big picture approach to marketing, Courtnie has developed a deep understanding of and experience in social media marketing, content marketing, web design and optimization, SEO, public relations, UX, analytics and advertising. She has a proven ability to devise, execute and lead multi-channel strategies. She identifies and seizes opportunities to create dynamic and relevant content, increase brand awareness, drive engagement and enhance the overall user experience through data analysis. Courtnie is passionate about and intrigued by data, and the digital marketing industry. She enjoys combining insights and analytics from multiple channels to paint a full picture. She is a communicator who prefers to thrive in a goal-oriented environment that fosters creativity and encourages collaboration. With a diverse background in higher education, oil and gas services, and automotive sales and as a freelance consultant, Courntie provides a unique perspective on digital strategy.

    Holly Stahnke, Owner of Two Clay Birds Farm & Garden Market

    Topic: Digital Marketing for Small Businesses

    Holly and her husband Kevin own and operate Two Clay Birds Farm & Garden Market in Hico, Texas. The foundation of their business is to eat what is good and natural. If they won’t serve it to their children then they won’t sell it on their shelves. All their naturally grown products are purely organic. The fruits and vegetables are pesticide free and they use non-GMO seeds. Their other notable products come from local artisans and craftsmen in the area. The couples' business has thrived and continues to grow. Holly will discuss the digital marketing strategies that worked for their business.
