The Stephenville Police Department is now accepting applications for the 2013 Citizen Police Academy! The Academy is a 10 week course that gives participants knowledge of the Dept.'s policies & procedures.
Applicants must be 21 and live, work, attend college, have an interest in law enforcement or the City of Stephenville. Classes will be a mix of lectures, demonstrations, tours, & hands on experience with covering topics such as training, communications, criminal investigations, DWI procedures, crime prevention, family violence, juvenile law, and special response team. Emphasis is placed on the patrol division as that is the segment of the police department the public most often comes into contact with.
The course will start January 10 and go through April 11.
