Career Connections - Helping Tarleton Students Learn Networking Skills
Name: Career Connections - Helping Tarleton Students Learn Networking SkillsDate: October 26, 2026Time: 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM CDTEvent Description:Career Connections: Networking Made Easy on October 26th from 12-2pm
Career Connections is a guided networking event designed to give students a chance to practice professional conversations in a low-pressure environment before attending the career fair later that week.
Participating professionals will help facilitate conversations around topics such as career pathways, professional presence, interviewing, skills employers value, internships, and transitioning from college to career.
Participating employers will be assigned a "Career Connection" station focused on a specific topic! Employers will receive their assigned topic, suggested talking points, and student conversation prompts before the event. No formal presentation is required. Students will rotate through the stations in small groups and participate in guided career conversations.
We are seeking up to 15 employers to represent a variety of industries and career paths.
This is intentionally not a recruiting event but rather an opportunity to share your experience, build relationships with students, and help them become more confident connecting with professionals.
If you’re interested in participating, you can sign up here:

We’d also love to have your organization join us for the Business & Professional Careers Fair on October 29th from 10am-2pm. If you are still in the recruiting phase for internships, part-time positions, or full-time opportunities (or know someone who is that would like to come recruit our students), this is a great opportunity to connect directly with Tarleton State students seeking those next steps.
Here is the link to sign up for the fair.
We hope you’ll be able to join us for one or both of these opportunities! Our goal is to create more opportunities for students to connect with professionals like you, learn from your experiences, and begin building relationships that can support them as they prepare to enter the workforce. London and I look forward to helping create those connections throughout the year!
