The All Stars League, sponsored by the Stephenville Optimist and Stephenville Lions Club, is organized to provide youth sports experiences for school children with special needs who are not able to participate in traditional leagues. In the All Stars League, every child has the opportunity to participate and every child is a WINNER! No score is kept and the children play for the sheer fun of the game. The Fall season will begin Monday, September 23rd from 5:30-6:30 pm at the Faith Field, next to Faith Lutheran Church (3000 NW Loop in Stephenville, across from McCoys). Games will continue every Monday evening from 5:30-6:30 pm until October 28th. There are no registration costs for this league.
This season, the kids will be playing soccer! Volunteers will assist each child to help them participate to their maximum level. This year the kids will partake in warm-up exercises then a game. Kids will be divided into two teams. Each child will be given the opportunity to score a goal, as well as, play defense.
Each child will be provided with a t-shirt. No other equipment will be required.
