Name: Adventures in Gardening: Pocket Prairie Power: Small Space, Big Impact
    Date: September 15, 2026
    Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM CDT
    Event Description:

Erath County Master Gardeners' next educational program is all about rewilding our yards.

Native plant horticulturist Meghan Peoples Kanute share her expertise to help Erath County residents create havens of native plants to support all types of native plant life. These small areas are called pocket prairies. How do they help? Monarch butterflies are a great example. They use pocket prairies to assist them in their annual migration. Pocket prairies provide food and a safe haven during their journey.
