The Stephenville Chamber of Commerce is partnering with KSTV Radio – The Mighty 93, Citizens National Bank of Texas, Dowell Ace Hardware, First Financial Bank, Gifford TV and TexasBank to encourage shopping local byGIVING AWAY $10,000 this holiday season!
When residents choose to shop at our local retailers, they not only save money on the fuel it would take to drive out of town, they are also supporting local businesses who provide jobs, donate to local charities and invest in our community!
Businesses throughout Erath County are invited to join in this exciting Shop Local Campaign! One of your customers could be the lucky winner of $10,000! Participating local businesses will receive a roll of tickets to be given out to customers that walk through your doors, with additional tickets given for every $10 spent in your store.
For those of you who are not familiar with this promotion, here is how it works:
The participating local businesses receive rolls of numbered tickets (2000/roll). Customers receive one free ticket just for coming into your business.
For every $10 they spend, up to $1000, they will receive additional tickets.
They can receive up to 101 tickets per visit.
This applies for ALL purchases for each day, for each store, from October 23, 2017-December 14, 2017.
For this to NOT be considered a lottery, participating businesses must give away one free ticket to anyone who comes in your business and asks for one. Remember this only increases your business volume and increases your chances of being the business that wins the $1000 of advertising on KSTV FM & KSTV AM.
Shop Local Rules
The participant must be present at the grand prize drawing on December 14, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Stephenville City Park Birdsong Amphitheater and must have the winning ticket with them.
Persons must be 18 to win. Born 10-4-1999 or before.
The winning ticket will be verified. You will have 5 minutes to produce the winning ticket. After 5 minutes, another ticket will be drawn, thus eliminating the previous ticket as the winner. As a suggestion, to be organized for the day of, you may want to create a spreadsheet listing of all yur ticket numbers so that you will know immediately whether your ticket has been drawn or not. You should also have your tickets in order, to be able to produce the winning ticket before the 5 minutes expires.
The maximum number of tickets that can be awarded to a single customer on a purchase is 101 per day, per business, based upon a sale of $1000. Tickets will be handed out on the b asis of one ticket per each customer entering the busines, regardless of purchase (in other words, no purchase is required to get 1 free ticket per day). One additional ticket will be given for each $10 purchase or fraction thereof up to the maximum of a $1000 transaction or 100 tickets. We have encouraged businesses to have additional promotion in store to give away additional tickets throughout the contest.
Business owners, manager and employees, and members of their immediate family cannot participate in the drawing using tickets from their own business that they are associated with. They are, however, eligible to participate with tickets from another store or service provider.
Winner must have a valid Social Scurity numb er and I.D. Winn er will also have to fill out a W-9 and will receive a 1099 for tax purposes.
