Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council at our River North Gallery for a multi-generational day of fun, arts & crafts as we celebrate the art of the Hmong Textiles & Orr Quilts. Art & Craft activities are open to the public free of charge. Refreshments will be served.

1p-3p Arts & Crafts Activities: (Hint: Mother’s Day is just around the corner & Moms love craft gifts from the heart

-Stamp Painting: Learn the symbols of the Hmong people as you paint with stamped shapes to create your own art story.
-Yarn Art: Weave your own, unique yarn art using plastic mesh canvas & colorful pieces of yarn.
-Patchwork Design: Piece together your own cloth design using different squares of cloth to create your own, "no sew" quilt pattern
10a-3p Quilt Appraisals: Do you have a quilt you have always been curious about? Join Austin’s Marcia Kaylakie who will be on-site to give her expert opinion & appraisals. Appraisals by appointment only (30 minute session for $65.) Please call CTFAC at (254) 965-6190 to make an appointment as spots are limited.
10a-3p CTFAC Community Quilt: Add your unique design to our CTFAC Quilt, by creating your own piece of patchwork to be sewn into this quilt, which will become a part of our permanent art collection.
