This clinic is intended for horsemen who have mastered the Fundamentals level of the Method and are ready to apply the skills they’ve learned to riding outside of the arena. The clinic will focus on exercises covered in the Fundamentals In Action on the Trail Series, which includes foundation trail exercises designed to get the same level of control and softness from your horse on the trail as you have in the arena, obstacle training, and problem-solving exercises. FACILITIES
The Downunder Horsemanship Ranch has both outdoor and indoor arenas, a challenging obstacle course and miles of trails. Weather permitting, the majority of this clinic will focus on riding your horse on the ranch’s trails and working on the obstacle course. Your horse will be stabled in his own run, which includes a two-sided shelter, automatic waterer and feeder. Each run includes a tack locker with saddle rack, bridle hooks and hay pallet.
DAILY SCHEDULE
The clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and will include a two-hour lunch break.
NOT JUST FOR PARTICIPANTS
Be a spectator and learn from the successes and challenges of a group of horses and riders as they work through Clinton’s training-on-the-trail exercises while receiving the clinician’s instruction and critique. Other than participating in a clinic, there’s no better way to learn how to fine-tune your application of the Method.
REQUIREMENTS
Must submit a video application of you completing all of the Fundamentals groundwork and riding exercises on the horse you plan to participate in the clinic with in order to be approved.
