    Job Description
    Leading western store in Stephenville, TX has immediate job opening for full-time and  part-time positions in Sales & Customer Service.  The person for this position should possess a strong desire to be part of a team of caring, hard-working employees who are committed to serving customers and striving to make every shopping experience in our store the best part of a customer's day!  Friendliness, integrity, self-motivation, a positive attitude and the willingness to maintain a high level of production throughout the day is imperative! Spanish as a second language is not required but would be a plus. 
    Sales Assistant must have strong interpersonal skills and excellent organizational competencies.  The ideal applicant will always have a smile and a great attitude - plus possess technical computer skills to quickly learn AmberPOS and be able to make daily entries in POS with explicit accuracy. The Sales Assistant should have or be willing to gain a general knowledge of the rodeo, western and fashion industries. Having an expansive knowledge of social media marketing and in-store display merchandising would be a plus.  Applicant should be comfortable entering data on computer for the purpose of POS entry, social media, online sales and/or website development.
    Sales Assistant must be available to work until 6 p.m. during the week and on Saturdays plus possible extended hours around holidays. Other job duties may include assisting managers with a variety of duties which may include cleaning store, resolving customer requests and/or customer service issues in a professional manner; printing postage labels online for orders and/or returns, contributing marketing ideas for social media and posting pictures with descriptions on social media platforms such as  Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.; straightening and organizing merchandise displays in an appealing way; compiling sales and customer data reports from POS in an effort to assess inventory needs and maximize the effectiveness of serving our customers.


    At least 2 years college and/or 1 year work experience in a related customer service and/or computer, web development field. [Other qualifications may be considered.]

    Excellent communication skills - both written & verbal - with attention to details and accuracy.  Must have excellent spelling and double-check style numbers for accuracy.  Spanish as a second language is not required but would be a plus. 
    Experience with Microsoft OFFICE programs, POS software and data entry.
    Knowledge surrounding social media marketing and website development is important.
    Friendliness and the ability to maintain a positive attitude with coworkers is essential.
    Must provide at least 3 personal or job-related references.
    COMPENSATION is based on market rate in retail sales, qualifications and experience. The applicant may expect starting pay to be approximately $10 an hour with opportunity for bonus pay.  The current position is for 20 – 30 hours per week.
