Job Title: Groundskeeper

Summary: Our groundskeeper is responsible for day-to-day groundskeeping and property maintenance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs groundskeeping duties including but not limited to mowing, edging, fertilizing, weeding, watering, planting, and mulching landscapes
• Trims small trees, hedges, shrubs, and identifies and removes dead or damaged vegetation properly
• Properly utilizes pesticides and chemicals to rids grounds of pests and weeds
• Monitors and clears property grounds of litter and debris to ensure a pleasant and professional appearance
• Conducts minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping
• Follows instructions from supervisors to perform tasks
• Properly reports malfunctions with equipment or unsafe conditions to management
• Maintains irrigation systems including, winterizing, and operating in the spring
• Completes detailed daily reports of work to management

Qualifications:

• A minimum of two years’ experience in a landscaping or groundskeeping role.
• Must be able to safely operate maintenance equipment including but not limited to, lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers
• Strong knowledge of pest management and basic lawn maintenance
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Working knowledge of horticulture
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a variety of outside conditions for an extended period of time
• Displays physical stamina, self-motivation, visualization and creativity

• Occasionally exposed to extreme heat or cold (non-weather)
• While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually very loud
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds
