Job Title: Groundskeeper

Summary: Our groundskeeper is responsible for day-to-day groundskeeping and property maintenance.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs groundskeeping duties including but not limited to mowing, edging, fertilizing, weeding, watering, planting, and mulching landscapes
- Trims small trees, hedges, shrubs, and identifies and removes dead or damaged vegetation properly
- Properly utilizes pesticides and chemicals to rids grounds of pests and weeds
- Monitors and clears property grounds of litter and debris to ensure a pleasant and professional appearance
- Conducts minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping
- Follows instructions from supervisors to perform tasks
- Properly reports malfunctions with equipment or unsafe conditions to management
- Maintains irrigation systems including, winterizing, and operating in the spring
- Completes detailed daily reports of work to management
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a landscaping or groundskeeping role.
- Must be able to safely operate maintenance equipment including but not limited to, lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers
- Strong knowledge of pest management and basic lawn maintenance
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of horticulture
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a variety of outside conditions for an extended period of time
- Displays physical stamina, self-motivation, visualization and creativity

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
- Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Frequently required to talk or hear
- Frequently work near moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions
- Occasionally exposed to extreme heat or cold (non-weather)
- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually very loud
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds
