    Job Description
    TITLE:  Director of Finance and Compliance                                    
    IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Executive Director
    The position might be available as a part-time position with a minimum of 25 hours per week in the right situation.
    The Director of Finance and Compliance will work closely with Cross Timbers Family Services (CTFS) Executive Director and the Board of Directors. The Director of Finance and Compliance responsibilities include but are not limited to;
    • Accounting
    • Payroll
    • Budgeting
    • Financial reporting
    • Grant and donor financial management and regulations
    • Ensure compliance management of CTFS internal policies and procedures.
    • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations including preparation of bank deposits, disbursement of payables, receivables, receipts, statements, and other general accounting information in the accounting database, verifying conformity in balances
    • Prepare budgets for local, federal and state grant applications
    • Ensure that all financial requirements mandated by funders are reflected in agency policies and procedures and are implemented correctly including cost allocation plan
    • Research and develop other funding sources
    • Produce financial reports for grantors and other funders; maintain due dates and submissions as stated per grant awards and contracts
    • Coordinate internal or external audits and other grant reviews
    • Create and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all accounting processes, data, and reporting
    • Remain up-to-date on best practices in nonprofit finance, business systems, and internal control measures, and state and federal law regarding nonprofit operations
    • Preparation, review, and submission of Form 990,  W2’s and 1099’s
    • Act in accordance with the agency's mission statement and goals
    • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and Board of Directors
    • Strong accounting skills and experience, including management of the general ledger, journal entries, payroll, payables, and balance sheet
    • Knowledge in financial reporting preparation, audits, and other regulatory requirements
    • Knowledge in grant management and various budgets pertaining to state and federal grants
    • Advanced proficiency with PCs, including MS Office, Excel, and QuickBooks
    • Good organizational, problem-solving, and written/oral communication skills
    • Bachelor degree in accounting, or related field required
    • At least 2 years of financial management experience
