I'm especially interested in understanding how the landscape affects gene flow across a species' geographical distribution. I'm also interested in hybridization between closely related species. My students and I collect specimens from the field and then analyze their DNA in the lab using techniques such as DNA sequencing and fragment analysis (e.g. AFLP\, RADseq).\n\n\n\nTopic\n\nNine bumble bee species are currently known to occur in Texas. That is not an overwhelming number to familiarize yourself with. Just think of all the species bird-watchers have to learn! With some patience and study\, you should be able to familiarize yourself with the bumble bees that occur in the state. X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html: \;\n
