DESCRIPTION:Please join us on Friday\, May 1\, 2026\, at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall\, across from the Purple Goat for:\n\n  Silent Auction\n\n  Live Auction\n\n  Entertainment\n\n  Appetizers\n\n\n\nSTEPHENVILLE\, Texas    The Stephenville Optimist Club continues to support the local community\n\nthrough its 54th Annual Auction on Friday\, May 1 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall at City Limits\, located directly\n\nacross from the Purple Goat.\n\n \n\nLed by a mission of providing hope and positivity to support the youth and community\, all proceeds\n\nraised by the annual auction will be used to provide school supplies for Stephenville ISD students for the\n\nupcoming school year. The event will include silent and live auctions\, as well as live entertainment and\n\nheavy appetizers.\n\n \n\n"The Optimist Club auction has been supporting youth activities in Stephenville for over 50 years\, and\n\nwe're excited to continue this great community tradition\," said Optimist Club President\, Dennis Jones.\n\n"In recent years\, this event has raised money for a new sound system at Lem Brock Field\, the SHS\n\nOutdoor Classroom\, city park renovations\, and so much more. We're so thankful to our partners who have\n\ndonated items and would love to see the community fill up City Hall and participate.\n\n \n\n"Since 1966\, the Stephenville Optimist Club has raised over $1 million that has been reinvested back into\n\nour youth and community\," he continued. "We're working diligently on the next million."\n\n \n\nIn addition to joining the festivities on May 1\, the community is invited to participate through donations  \n\neither in merchandise for auction or monetary contributions   as well as joining for the event.
