Community Celebration: Free Outdoor Movie Screening & Billy the Kid Film Festival Announcement

On November 3, 2018 at 6:00p.m., we will be announcing the return of the film festival for November of 2019, at a “Community Celebration” and free public screening the last great film about Billy the Kid, Sam Peckinpah’s classic “Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid”, starring Kris Kristofferson, James Colburn and Bob Dylan. We are excited to have a costar of that movie, Matt Clark, veteran of over 50 Hollywood films, join us at the screening and celebration to meet the people of our community and sign autographs.

Because of the adult subject matter and  content, this film is not recommended for children under 18.

The celebration includes the communities of Hico, Stephenville, Glen Rose, Dublin, Hamilton, Granbury and Clifton and the surrounding towns. At the screening there will be free refreshments for all guest and first 100 guaranteed a complementary “Swag Bag”.

Bring your lawn chair, for a free movie, tacos, popcorn and soda water.


The Billy the Kid Film Festival is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting film, filmmakers and film education through our annual event.  In November, 2019, we will bring back a full film festival to Hico, the Hometown of "Brushy Bill" Robert, alias "Billy the Kid".

 

The Community Celebration is FREE.  However if you would like to support this endeavor, you can also participate in the VIP Reception held at the Silver Spur Tasting Room at 5:00 pm with Matt Clark, industry insiders, and distinguished guests. 

There are four levels of participation:  

Bronze-$50 donation, VIP reception 1 guest, with the star, industry insiders, and distinguished guests.

Silver- $100 donation, VIP reception 2 guests and your flyer in the complementary swag bags give to the VIP guests and to the first 100 attendees at the celebration.

Gold- $500 donation, VIP reception-2 guests, your flyer in the swag bag and your branding on all printed materials.

Partner-$1000, VIP reception-2 guests, your flyer in the swag bag and your branding on all printed materials, speaking slot at the community celebration and reserved preference for next year’s film festival.
