BBQ, Bands and Bottle Rockets on the Bosque - July 4th Festival 2017

BBQ, Bands and Bottle Rockets on the Bosque is the Erath County’s 4th of July Festival hosted in Stephenville, Texas open to the public. The festival and it’s board are dedicated to giving back to Erath county. 4th of July is an opportunity for the county to unite for Fun, Fireworks, Charity. The festival officially kicks-off immediately following the Annual 4th of July Parade in the Stephenville City Park, and lasts until 5:00PM, when the Night Concert begins on the BirdSong Amphitheater Stage (also inside the park). 


10:00 a.m.- Event Begins
10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. - Merchandise Vendors Open
10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. - Children’s Area Open; wristbands day of will be $10 each for all children
10:00 a.m.-End of Fireworks - Food Vendors Open
10:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Live Music On Stage in Children’s Area

11:00 a.m. - BBQ Competition turn in chicken

2:00 p.m. - BBQ Competition turn in chef’s choice
2:30 p.m. - Spotlight Charity Winner Announced on Children's Area Stage 
3:00 p.m. - BBQ Awards on Children's Area Stage
 
**festival goers are encouraged to check out the BBQ area and taste some yummy samples that some cookers may have**
 
BBQ Bands and Bottle Rockets on the Bosque will be followed by TexStar Ford Summer Nights Concert Series at the Birdsong Ampitheater.

Charity Spotlight
The Charity Spotlight is a way for BBQ, Bands, & Bottle Rockets on the Bosque to give back to Erath County. The majority of the funds received in entry fees., sponsorship, etc. are granted to a selected Erath County Non-Profit Organization.

BBQ Cook-Off
The BBQ Cook-Off held will consist of 3 meat categories: Brisket, Pork Ribs, & Chicken.

Entry Fee: $150 to enter all three meats (brisket, pork ribs, & chicken).

Prizes: 1st: $600, 2nd: $400, 3rd: $200 will be given for each category of meat. 
In addition, an award will be given for Best of Show & Chef's Choice.

Additional info: There will be a mandatory meeting on July 3rd. Time to be determined. Head cooks are responsible for their team members' actions. Any member out of control will result in disqualification of the team and removal from the area. Each team will provide their own meat. All meat must be prepped and cooked on site. The application is not considered complete until your payment is received. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE DUE TO TEAM CANCELATION, DISQUALIFICATION, NO SHOW, OR WEATHER.
