Come join us for the Texas Indian Hobbyist Association’s (TIHA) fall POWWOW on Saturday, September 16 at Henderson Junior High’s cafetorium and gym. TIHA provides free family entertainment and a chance to see something truly unique. Their craft vendors and a variety of demonstrations will add to this very special event. The TIHA craft display is open from noon to 5:00 p.m., with lively gourd dancing at 6:30 p.m. Don't miss the colorful Grand Entry at 7:30 p.m., which will be a parade of Native American costumes.
The purpose of the Texas Indian Hobbyist Association is to promote an active participation in Native American Indian crafts, to preserve the customs and culture of the Native Americans Indians, to promote an understanding of Native American Indian traditions, to provide knowledge and fellowship for interested persons, and to present others with the best possible view of these ideals.
Sponsored by the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council, Stephenville Chamber of Commerce, and Stephenville Independent School District.
